• Drop-Stitch Core:This is the heart of the inflatable SUP’s rigidity. It consists of two PVC sheets connected by thousands of tiny threads spaced 4-6 inches apart. These threads hold the top and bottom sheets apart, preventing the board from simply inflating into a round shape and allowing it to maintain its board-like form when inflated.

   

• PVC Layers: The top and bottom of the inflatable SUP are made of PVC material. The thickness and quality of the PVC can vary depending on the brand and model of the board. Higher quality PVC will be lighter yet more durable.

• Rails: The sides of the inflatable SUP are called rails. They are also made of PVC and contribute to the overall stiffness of the board.
